Shopping are huge draws for the city of Edina and two of the hottest spots to shop are Southdale Mall and the Galleria. Below are snippets on what both malls have to offer!
Southdale Center is the nation’s first indoor regional shopping mall. The center, which opened in 1956, is anchored by Macy’s, Herberger’s and JC Penney. Southdale includes over 120 specialty stores ranging from women’s apparel to gifts and jewelry. Among the 120 specialty stores are Michael Kors, Madewell, Brighton Collectibles, J. Crew, Francesca’s Collections, Sephora, Coach and The Apple Store. Most of the homes you will find in Edina are single family homes built in the 50’s and 60’s in well-established neighborhoods. Most homes will run north of $400k all the way up into the $1M+ range.
There are opportunities to build a new home in Edina but you are usually limited to purchasing a knock-down property or buying a lot and spending $800k+.
