Maple Grove is a city in Hennepin County about 20 to 25 minutes northwest of Downtown Minneapolis. It is a large, growing community with a population around 68,000 residents. Maple Grove has been expanding at a rapid pace since the 1970s, and is known as one of the fast growing cities in the state of Minnesota. Maple Grove is nationally known as a great city to live, it was named the second best place to live in 2014 by Money magazine!


Maple Grove is within the Osseo Area School District (ISD 279). The school district has 19 elementary schools, four middle schools, and three high schools. Maple Grove has 39 schools located within city limits below are some of the top rated schools:

There are some great restaurants in Maple Grove for families to enjoy. A couple of the community favorites are:

Biaggi’s is a great Italian restaurant located in Arbor Lakes

3 Sqaures is located on Maple Grove’s Main Street and includes great food selections (including a breakfast menu) and an outstanding outdoor patio.

If you are looking for a great steak in Maple Grove, look no further than Pittsburgh Blue!

Redstone is known for its open flame grill where they cook their signature chicken, seasonal fish and aged steaks.

Malone’s is a great venue to have a good time. They have early and evening happy hours and are open late!


Maple Grove has plenty of options for entertainment. Maple Grove is home to AMC Classic Arbor Lakes 16 movie theater which is located in The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. Arbor Lakes is a great outdoor mall which includes a variety of shopping, food, and entertainment options!

Maple Grove is also home to OMNI Brewing which has a taproom, brewery tours, and scheduled food trucks!

WhirlyBall is another unique “sport” that is featured in Maple Grove. It is a great option for a larger group of children or even adults!

Parks & Recreation

Maple Grove has an amazing 49 city parks located within its limits and an almost 55 miles of trail space! The crown jewel of Maple Grove’s park and rec is the award-winning Central Park. Central Park is one of Maple Grove’s newest parks with its ceremonial ribbon cutting happening in September 2015.

Central Park is rich in features which includes:

The vast majority of homes available in Maple Grove are existing homes within neighborhoods established in the 90’s and early 00’s. Depending on price range and what you are looking for you can find a well updated, maintained, and move-in-ready home to an older, outdated, in-need-of-TLC home ready for your remodel ideas in the older southern part of Maple Grove!

Maple Grove also has some townhome community and condo complex options if a buyer doesn’t want to purchase a single family home.

There are a handful of new construction options in Maple Grove. There are plenty of national home builder sites (Lennar, Pulte, K Hov) around Maple Grove and prices range from the $400s to $800s.
